Son of Jaguar | Antibodies | Nikki Webstars – Saturday Dec 1st from 8pm
RocknRoll Damnation Part 2! It’s the first day of summer and time for a rocknroll party at the Fed.
The Nikki Websters are a 6 piece band based in the Bellingen Shire with some members who were in the formidable punk outfit, Brut 66. Hard to pigeonhole, they are very guitar driven, offset by keyboards and plenty of humorous banter. No holds barred, yet suspended somewhere between sweetness and cacophony. The intensity of their playing and the hard/soft contrast, which is carried off with verve, passion and beauty, gets people on the dance floor. These sloppy buggers are very endearing indeed!
The Antibodies are a punk rock band with psychedelic leanings that emerged from the haze in the hills around Nimbin. A bunch of mates who all grew up listening to seminal Australian bands like the Celibate Rifles, New Christs, Scientists, and The Saints. Over the last 10 years they have been lucky enough to play with some of their favourite bands on the Mazstock Bill in Lismore and have toured to Sydney and Brisbane to play with some of their fave bands including Brisbane’s HITS, Sydney’s Dunhill Blues, Garry David and The Baddies.
Son of Jaguar are a Coffs Coast rock band playing sweat drenched, hip shakin, dirty rock n roll. With a twin guitar attack that is inspired by 60’s and 70’s garage, rock and punk. The sound is loud, upbeat, melodic, loose and hip shaking, just as good rock n roll should be. See you at the bar!
The debut album, King Hit was released at the end of 2017 and is available through Conquest of Noise and on other digital platforms.
